The Eleanor, a new mid-century style brunch spot, is set to open in South Scottsdale in September.
Clayton Companies and Aline Architecture Concepts, the development/design duo responsible for Fate Brewing Company and The Clayton House, have teamed up yet again to deliver another exciting concept for Valley residents to enjoy. Their latest project, The Eleanor, will offer traditional sit-down dining, as well as a grab-and-go option. The grand opening is set to take place on September 4, 2023.
“When it came to the structure and design of this space, it was a no-brainer that we were going to work with Brian and his team at Aline,” says Tom Frenkel, owner of Clayton Companies. “After working on several projects across the Valley and building a relationship with the team over the years, I knew it was going to be a seamless collaboration. Brian has an incredible ability to not only execute my vision but also provide feedback and direction when necessary. The Aline team created a refreshing and stunning new concept for us to house The Eleanor in and we couldn’t be more excited to have a new brunch spot for our local community to gather.”
Located at 3207 N. Hayden Road, The Eleanor will replace the old Scottsdale Dry Cleaners space at Hayden and Osborn, which Aline Architecture Concepts has meaningfully transformed into a casual eatery featuring an outdoor Polynesian-themed area with subtropical plantings, lava rock and a large overhanging shade structure to the south.
“We kept the historic low-profile roof, while brightening the space with new garage doors to the patio and a high wall with clerestory windows to bring in the natural light,” explains Aline Co-Founder Brian Krob.
“Light woods and retro colors bring the mid-century vibe,” adds Aline Co-Founder Brian Laubenthal. “We’re looking forward to seeing this become a South Scottsdale community gathering spot!”
