Sadly, in Phoenix alone, more 27 percent of households with children have experienced food hardship. Attending Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation Arizona 2012 on May 18 at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is on way you can help diminish those numbers.
Taste of the Nation Arizona will provide guests with a one-of-a-kind experience, featuring a five-course meal prepared by the Valley’s finest chefs. Each table will interact with its chef throughout the meal, with each table’s offerings based on the cuisine of a different American region or city–hence, taste of the “nation.” All ticket sales and auction proceeds will stay in Arizona, benefiting St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance and the Association of Arizona Food Banks. (Event cost per ticket is $125 for general admission, or $225 for VIP admission. Admission to the cocktail party only is $25 per ticket, when purchased in advance. Table sponsorships are also available.)
The Taste of the Nation Arizona evening will begin with a cocktail hour featuring a mixology competition, and a silent auction featuring exceptional culinary experiences and exquisite gifts. Participating restaurants include La Hacienda, Deseo, Bourbon Steak, Graze Desert Grill, 5th and Wine, Province and others.
Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation is the nation’s premier culinary benefit dedicated to making sure no kid grows up hungry. Each year, there are nearly 40 Taste of the Nation events across the U.S. and Canada with one goal in mind: End childhood hunger in America by 2015. http://tasteofthenation.com/.
