For lovers of the Scottsdale’s very own Taco Festival, it is time to rejoice: Pepsi Amphitheater in Flagstaff will host The Taco Festival July 1 in cool Northern Arizona. The Taco Festival Flagstaff is part of a multi-city National Taco Tour celebrating the love of tacos and taco culture.
From noon to 6 p.m., taco lovers are invited to dig into $2 tacos (chicken, pork, beef, seafood, and veggie) as well as salsa, guacamole and much more. Event-goers will enjoy a Tiny Taco Dog Beauty Pageant, lucha libre wrestling, a tequila expo tend, eating contests and, of course, a taco competition in which National Taco Association judges determine winners in double-blind tests in a closed tent for anonymous scoring. There will even be a Piñata Safe Zone; bring a piñata to Taco Festival Flagstaff and $1 will be donated to the Save the Piñata fund.
General admission tickets are $12 online in advance. VIP tickets are $85 online in advance and include eight tokens, private tented area, bar and restrooms.
