Foundress Friday ✨️ Meet Trisha Pfeiffer, Founder Foundress Friday ✨️ Meet Trisha Pfeiffer, Founder of The Nanny Joynt.

Since 2011, The Nanny Joynt has helped families find household support that truly fits. With firsthand experience as a career nanny, household manager, and mom of three, their approach goes beyond resumes - they take the time to understand each family, their needs, and what makes a placement work long-term.

Because the right match isn’t just about experience. It’s about fit, communication, trust, and shared expectations.

AZF: “What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?”

Pfeiffer: “Charge what you’re worth, and hire help sooner than you think you need it. I built my business on a very low flat fee for years because that was the norm in my market and I didn’t think I could ask for more. It took seasoned owners telling me to treat this like a business, not a hobby, before I changed it. The minute I priced at industry standard, business boomed. Nobody left. They took me more seriously.

Also, hire help sooner. I carried everything myself for far too long because I thought that’s what a good founder did. It wasn’t. It just meant I was tired, and it capped how much the business could grow. Bring people in earlier, document what you do so you can actually hand it off, and then trust the people you hired.”

THROWBACK THURSDAY 🔎🌵 Back for another look at Pho THROWBACK THURSDAY 🔎🌵
Back for another look at Phoenix history.

We’re teaming up with @phoenix_official_historian to uncover the stories, people and places that helped shape the Valley we know today.

This week: The History of Phoenix Union Station 🚂

Phoenix Union Station opened in 1923, becoming an important transportation center in downtown Phoenix. The station was built by the Southern Pacific and Santa Fe Railroads and served both passenger and freight trains, connecting Phoenix with cities throughout Arizona and the Southwest. Its Spanish Colonial Revival architecture reflected the region’s growing identity and provided passengers with a grand entrance to the city. For decades, Union Station helped bring visitors, workers, and goods into Phoenix and supported the city’s economic growth. Passenger rail service declined after World War II as automobiles and airplanes became more popular. The station eventually closed to passenger service in 1996. Today, the historic building remains an important reminder of Phoenix’s railroad era and the role transportation played in transforming Phoenix from a small desert settlement into a major southwestern city.

Tabatha helps women in business speak with confidence, elevate their presence, and tell memorable stories so they can be seen, heard, and remembered.

Through Confident Speaker Babe, Presence Collective, coaching, speaking engagements, and her podcast, she helps women turn communication skills into lasting confidence and presence.

We asked her, “What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?”

She responded with, “My husband is an entrepreneur, and he’s the one who first inspired me to take the leap. I love that we get to build and create side by side, bounce ideas off each other, and share the journey with someone who truly understands it. I also love the impact. I get to watch women find the confidence to use their voices, share their stories, and grow their businesses. Entrepreneurship has taught me that we don’t have to build our dreams alone. Creating something I believe in, alongside people I love, is what makes it so meaningful.”

THROWBACK THURSDAY 🔎🌵 Think you know Phoenix? Thin THROWBACK THURSDAY 🔎🌵
Think you know Phoenix? Think again.

We’re teaming up with @phoenix_official_historian to dig into the stories, people, places and little-known facts that shaped the Valley we know today.

First up: Why is Phoenix named Phoenix? 👀

Phoenix, Arizona, was named for the mythological Phoenix, the bird that rises from its own ashes. Founder Jack Swilling favored the name because the new settlement was being built from the remains of the ancient Hohokam canal system. The canals had once supported extensive agriculture in the Salt River Valley, and early settlers were restoring them to create a new agricultural community. The name therefore symbolized a city rising from the remains of an earlier civilization. Phoenix was not the settlement’s original name. The community passed through several names—including Pumpkinville, Swilling’s Mill, Helling Mill, Mill City, Stonewall, and Salina—before Phoenix became the accepted name.
