In celebration of the dog days of summer, again this year, Joe’s Farm Grill in Gilbert offers 12 specialty hot dogs and sausages, all featuring meat from Schreiner’s Fine Sausages in Phoenix. Hot dogs are all-beef in natural casing and served with French fries (or any regular menu substitute or upgrade). The meal is priced $6.99 for one or $9.99 for two (may mix and match, except for one exception as noted).
New this year:
Badger Brat – Local fresh bratwurst, Wisconsin cheese, on a mound of crunchy Cheetos
Italian Stallion – Wrapped in thick-cut pepperoni, topped with homemade marinara, cheeses, peppers and onions
Schweiger-Berry – Hot dog nestled in Schreiner’s Braunschweiger and topped generously with premium strawberry preserves
Really Hot Link – Joe’s asked Nancy at Schreiner’s to make her delicious Hot Link hotter; she doubled the heat. Load yours up with our special condiments
Tuscan Chicken Sausage – Chicken with sun-dried tomatoes and basil, under our roasted red peppers and a splash of local EVOO
Twinkie Dog – Tribute to Weird Al’s 1989 cult classic movie “UHF”: hot dog in a Twinkie bun topped with canned spray cheese.
Foot-Long Chili Cheese Coney ($9.99, not available to double up) – Twice as long (full 1/3 pound), same quality meat as the regular dog; smothered in homemade chili and shredded cheese. Dress it up as you wish.
