Breast Cancer Awareness Month Dining in Phoenix

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, check out these Valley restaurants hosting special charity events or donations in honor of the cause throughout the month.
On Oct. 20,Blue Wasabi Sushi & Martini Bar is teaming up with Luxe Salon & Spa to host a special event called, “Glam for the Girls.”  Instead of Blue Wasabi’s regularly scheduled Tuesday Ladies’ Night, on that evening from 4 until 10 p.m. there will be a charity event benefiting “Don’t Be a Chump– Check for a Lump.” Tickets are $25, which can be purchased on EventBrite, and will include one chosen service from Luxe Salon & Spa, one “Save the Tata’s Tini” from Blue Wasabi, a raffle ticket to win amazing prizes, a goody bag filled with pampering treats and a mini-demo show. The service with Luxe must be pre-booked ahead of time for Oct. 20. The treatments that event-goers can choose from are: Luxe Signature Mini Mani, Éminence Mini Facial featuring VitaSkin Peel Pad Solutions, a brow waxing with Chella shaping and enhancement or Kérastase Treatment with Bumble & Bumble Blowout.
Barrio Queen is supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation with two fundraisers, which have been specifically approved by the organization. During the month of October, diners at Barrio Queen can join in the fight against breast cancer by donating $1 to the charity in exchange for Barrio Queen’s famous homemade chips and salsa. Barrio Queen expects to raise nearly $10,000, with the entire dollar raised for each basket of chips benefiting the charity. Additionally, for every pink Barrio Queen T-shirt purchased during the month of October, the restaurant will also donate a portion of the proceeds to The National Breast Cancer Foundation. The promotions will be running at both the Scottsdale and Gilbert locations.
SOL Cocina at Scottsdale Quarter is doing their part for Breast Cancer Awareness month by offering special 2-oz. pours of the limited edition pink Clase Azul bottles of tequila for $20. People will also have the option of a $30 house or skinny margarita made with the Clase Azul bottle. All of the proceeds for these drinks will benefit Singleton Moms. Singleton Moms is a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing single parents battling cancer and their minor children.
Luci’s Healthy Marketplace (pictured) in Phoenix has partnered with Singleton Moms this October, as a portion of proceeds will benefit the local nonprofit:

  • Pink Luci’s Tumblers for $12.99 ($2 from each tumbler will be donated).
  • Pink Luci’s T-shirts for sale for $8 ($2 from each t-shirt will be donated).
  • Drink Special: Mrs. Arnie Palmer – fresh-brewed hibiscus tea and lemonade served hot or iced ($1 from every drink will be donated).
