Aftermath Bar & Kitchen to Open Rosewood in Downtown Gilbert

Gilbert is set to welcome an exciting new dining destination in early 2026. Charles Barber Jr., the Arizona restaurateur behind the acclaimed Aftermath Bar & Kitchen, has announced plans to open Rosewood, a modern American restaurant located at 366 N. Gilbert Road.

Slated to debut in January 2026, Rosewood will carry the signature Aftermath spirit into the heart of Gilbert, offering a menu of scratch-made dishes, bold craft cocktails, and a high-energy atmosphere. The concept aims to blend elevated comfort food with a lively dining experience, featuring a weekend brunch and late-night lounge-style service that promises to become a staple of Downtown Gilbert’s social scene.

“We’ve always wanted to be in Gilbert, and after 10 years the timing is finally right,” Barber said. “This spot will bring the same heart and quality people know us for, with a unique vibe.”

Barber launched Aftermath Bar & Kitchen in North Phoenix in 2021, gaining a loyal following for offerings like the award-winning Aftermath Burger and inventive cocktails. Known for a commitment to local sourcing, Aftermath partners with Arizona faves Noble Bread and Frites Street Fries to elevate its fare.

Barber has expanded his culinary presence with Born & Bred, a sister concept with locations in Chandler and Scottsdale. With Rosewood, he brings his blend of creativity, hospitality, and locally driven cuisine to a new audience. Stay updated by following along on Instagram @rosewood_gilbert.
