Wine Spectator, the world’s leading authority on wine, has unveiled the winners of the 2023 Restaurant Awards, which honors restaurants around the world for their excellent wine programs. This year’s awards recognized dining destinations from more than 70 countries internationally, with 3,505 winners located in the U.S. across all 50 states.
In Arizona, 57 establishments earned a 2023 Restaurants Award, representing the best local dining experiences for wine lovers and shining a spotlight on the state’s distinguishable selection of restaurants offering well-curated wine lists.
Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards is the world’s only program focused exclusively on restaurant wine service. Each winner is recognized across three awards: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the program’s highest award, the Grand Award.
Arizona’s list of winners features 35 Award of Excellence recipients, while 22 restaurants won the Best of Award of Excellence. The list comprises a variety of cuisine types, including American, Steakhouse, Italian, Farm to Table, French and Seafood, as well as a range of price points, including affordable options and elevated fine dining experiences.
As 2023 Restaurant Award winners, each of the Arizona establishments offer exceptional wine programs with over 90 selections or more that set them apart in the restaurant and wine industries. Guests will find wine selections from quality producers locally and around the world, including California, Arizona, France, Italy, Argentina, Spain and Chile.
