Federal Pizza is Heading to Paradise Valley Reimagined This July

Famed for its welcoming hospitality and wood-fired pizzas, award-winning restaurant Federal Pizza is scheduled to open its second location at the new PV plaza in July. Highlighted by a curving 1,500 sq. ft. outdoor dining patio that hugs half the building, the custom-built, standalone restaurant will be a new neighborhood landmark.

A menu of wood-fired traditional and Detroit-style deep-dish pizzas, house-made pastas, salads, and more will greet guests. Unique to the PV location, Federal Pizza will feature a take-out lounge and bottle shop with dedicated parking spaces, where guests can sip on craft beer, wine, and cocktails while perusing local specialty goods, enjoying tunes via the speaker wall, and playing nostalgic arcade games.

“Bringing Federal Pizza to Paradise Valley marks an exciting chapter for us,” said Lauren Bailey, co-founder and CEO of Upward Projects.

A pre-opening pop-up event on May 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the grassy area in front of Blanco Cocina + Cantina in Paradise Valley will give attendees a taste of the eatery’s signature pizzas, exclusive promotions, craft beer from Wren House Brewery in collaboration with The Joy Bus, music by Recordbar, and more.

“This new location allows us to serve our signature wood-fired pizzas and craft drinks to a vibrant community and deepens our connection to the neighborhood spirit that makes the Valley so special,” Bailey said. “We’re thrilled to become a new gathering place for friends and families.”

Handcrafted by Upward Projects, the Phoenix-based restaurant group behind Postino Wine Café, Joyride Taco House, Windsor and Churn, along with longtime collaborator Mike Rumpeltin of Brick & West Design, this new Federal Pizza will include a sleek, modern indoor-outdoor space featuring low-slung bricks, custom tilework and hourglass steel holding up the patio canopy.

The space will be enlivened with colorful neon signs, vintage lighting, vibrant 1970s Supergraphics and wallpaper, and luminous partitions made with salvaged stained glass. Stay tuned for opening date info! Learn more at federalpizza.com.
