The Cove Trattoria in Scottsdale is offering $5 weekday lunch specials all summer, from cheeseburger sliders to chicken parmesan sandwiches.
This year, Culinary Dropout is inviting fantasy football leagues to host their draft party at one of their three Valley locations for one huge celebration on August 23. In addition to a great environment, Culinary Dropout will offer attendees free wireless internet, pre-season football on all TVs with sound on, and a great selection of beer and grub, such as pretzels, chips, hummus, wings and grilled cheese sliders, just to name a few (offerings determined per store based on availability). RA has also expanded the summer flavor fusion to the drink menu with limited-time offering of three new drinks: Watermelon and Blueberry Martini, Coconut Sakerita and Grape Crush.
The Arizona Grass Raised Beef Company, which is locally owned and operated business that produces 100 percent grass-fed and finished beef and bone broth, is now open. The in-house delivery trucks will bring you the freshest USDA inspected primal cuts, individual cuts and bulk ground beef direct from the Arizona Grass Raised Beef Company processing plant in northern Arizona.
Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza has launched a new campaign to benefit the Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation (AFFCF). The 45 Papa Murphy’s locations in greater Phoenix and northern Arizona will donate $1 to AFFCF from every Mini Murp Make ‘N’ Bake Pizza Kit sold Aug. 24 through Sept. 24.
The Sommelier Showdown series at Cowboy Ciao continues this month with the addition of a chef challenge on Friday, August 21. Clever Koi chef/owner, Joe Absolor, will take on Ciao’s Lester Gonzalez in the kitchen while guest sommelier and mixologist Chris Lingua, goes head-to-head with owner Peter Kasperski in a battle of the bottles. $55 for five courses and 10 wines. Chef Justin Beckett wants to celebrate the historic publication of Harper Lee’s “Go Set a Watchman,” the newly discovered novel and earliest known work from the beloved bestselling author of “To Kill a Mockingbird,” Wednesday, Aug. 26 with dinner and discussion at The Newton. After reserving your seat for the 7 p.m. First Draft Book Club at First Draft Book Bar, start the evening with Chef Beckett’s 5 p.m. dinner at Southern Rail.
