A Truly Special Place
The moment you enter the gate and drive onto the gravel driveway, you sense that you have arrived at someplace special. This 2 1/2 acre ranch is surrounded by raw desert filled with some of the oldest Saguaros in Arizona. It provides us with an ever changing 360 degree view of the mountains resplendent in turquoise, gold, peach and sapphire sunsets. Old growth plantings and deeply shaded patios and balconies beckon you to rest in their antique willow chairs until you completely unwind listening to the birds, wind chimes and the trickle of a waterfall. Five horses (two with Secretariat bloodlines) romp and play next door. The comment that we hear from every single guest is always the same , “This place is just so peaceful.”
The Loft (1,472 sg ft.)
Pictures simply cannot convey the experience of this space. Every single person who opens the door to the “Loft” says the same thing. “WOW!!” A gorgeous scent of cedar and sunshine rise up to greet you the moment you enter. There is just something about a huge open space, high up in the trees that is just so appealing. Huge windows fill nearly every wall giving 360 degree views of mountains, saguaros, trees, flowers, desert, sunrises, sunsets in every direction. When you walk out onto the balcony you feel like you are high up in a huge tree house looking down upon the world, It is absolutely heavenly. You can completely open the extra wide patio doors making the space feel even larger to capitalize on the constant breeze and singing birds.
On the practical side, the loft is one huge open room with two king sized beds totally separated from each other. It includes a completely stocked kitchen, pantry, large bathroom, tons of storage and antique leather and wood furniture. The bathroom has beautiful views of the mountains and surrounding desert through the large windows surrounding the huge triangular soaking tub. There is also a separate, toilet, shower, washer/dryer and two large closets.. This largest of our three casitas also has a very huge closet (the size of a room) that can comfortably and privately accommodate a queen sized air mattress for additional guests. But keep in mind there is only one bathroom.
Hiking, Biking, and Horseback Riding! Oh My!
If you are looking for peace, love nature and actually being able to see the stars at night, you will love this property. Guests are shocked as it FEELS like it is in the middle of nowhere, yet the entire ranch is just minutes away from hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fabulous restaurants, shopping and some of the very best golf courses in the nation! You can hop on a bike and within a mile directly access one of the gateway trail heads to the McDowell Mountain Sonoran Preserve with over 225 miles of trails for all uses. We are exactly 1 mile in each direction from the main Scottsdale access roads.
