Two exciting new theme parks are opening in the U.S., which include a DreamWorks themed land at Universal Studios Florida that visitors can enjoy as soon as next year, and an American Heartland Theme Park and Resort in Oklahoma that will open in stages beginning in 2025.
Universal Orlando Resort’s all-new DreamWorks Land at Universal Studios Florida is set to debut in 2024 and will welcome guests inside a themed world featuring DreamWorks Animation’s beloved characters. Visitors can look forward to sharing special moments with characters from their favorite DreamWorks movies and series, including Shrek, Tolls, Kung Fu Panda and Gabby’s Dollhouse, who will all come to life in imaginative ways through vibrant colors, interactive play spaces and more.
The new DreamWorks land will replace Fievel’s Playland, Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster, Curious George Goes to Town, DreamWorks Destination and Shrek and Donkey’s Meet & Greet.
American Heartland Theme Park and Resort is a more than $2 billion entertainment destination development in northeast Oklahoma that is set to be one of the world’s most unique visitor experiences. The 1,000-acre development will open in two stages and will feature the largest campground in the central U.S., a 125-acre theme park and a top-tier 300-room hotel when completed. Guests can expect the large-scale RV park featuring cabins and amenities by 2025 and the world-class theme park and hotel by 2026.
Comparable to the size of Magic Kingdom Theme Park and Disneyland Park, the American Heartland Theme Park will feature six distinct American lands: Great Plains, Bayou Bay, Big Timber Falls, Stony Point Harbor, Liberty Village and Electropolis. Through family-friendly attractions, entertaining rides, live shows and waterways, guests will be taken on a journey through the best of the American story while experiencing the unique culture, landscapes and spirit of the U.S.
