Lynx Air Launches New Flight Route from Phoenix to Calgary, Canada

Lynx Air has launched an inaugural flight to Phoenix from its headquarters in Calgary, Canada. On Feb. 7, Lynx Air representatives gathered at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport to formally kick off the new flight route.

The airline now routinely flies between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Calgary International Airport three times a week flying Boeing 737 planes. This ultra-affordable route allows Phoenicians and Canadians alike to fly between the two destinations at a fraction of the cost.

Calgary and Phoenix are both popular tourist destinations. Calargy is known for its scenic beauty featuring turquoise glacial lakes and snow-capped Rockies, while Phoenix is known for its year-round sunshine and luxurious golf resorts.

“We are thrilled to partner with Phoenix Sky Harbor International airport, the most central airport in Phoenix, providing easy access to the city’s major attractions,” says Merren McArthur, CEO of Lynx. “Whether you are traveling to visit friends and family or to enjoy Phoenix’s year-round sunshine and world-class golf, Lynx will ensure a great flying experience at an ultra-affordable price.”

The first Lynx Air flight, departing from Calgary and landing in Vancouver, took place on April 7, 2022. In a little over a year, the airline has expanded into the United States. Before the start of summer, the airline hopes to expand to over 16 destinations across North America.

The airline operates under an ultra-low-cost-carrier model that provides passengers with the most affordable rates using “a la carte” pricing. This pricing model allows passengers to purchase additional add-ons, such as preferred seating, carry-on and checked baggage.

Lynx Air is celebrating the new route by offering up to 50% off base fares for all flights from Canada to the United States from February 16 to February 18 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time with promo code FLYUSA. For more information and to book a flight, visit www.flylynx.com.
