Scottsdale Ranks Among Happiest Cities in America

Maybe it’s the bevy of luxury shopping and relaxing spas. Either way, according to WalletHub’s recent list of Happiest Cities in the U.S., Scottsdale is a pretty joyful place to claim residency, ranking No. 9 (out of 182).

The study compared the 182 largest cities across three categories: emotional and physical wellbeing, income and employment, and lastly, community and environment. Within those categories, a total of 31 metrics were graded on a 100-point scale, with 100 representing ultimate happiness. Scottsdale ranked 46 for emotional and physical wellbeing, 13 for income and employment and 2 for community and environment.

Other Arizona cities that made the Happiest Cities list include Gilbert (No. 21), Chandler (No. 33), Tempe (No. 39), Peoria (No. 44), Mesa (No. 75), Glendale (No. 104), Tucson, (No. 118) and Phoenix (No. 127).
