I was born…

in Chandler at the old Williams Air Force Base, now Williams Gateway and grew up about 2 miles from there on some acreage back when it was the middle of no where.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

the weather, the change in scenery…watching it grow and find itself.

I’m listening to…

myself a lot!! Honeygirl, my country band, is just getting started so we practice a lot, and are starting to book gigs and I’m always recording lyrics to create my next song. Also, we just started recording Honeygirl tracks for demos and such, so I’m listening to myself a lot.

My family…

is nearby! Of my siblings, I live the furthest from my parents and I’m just across town.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Scotty Johnson from the Gin Blossoms. He still lives around here. I’m a big Gin Blossom fan from waaay back, but mostly I want have dinner with him because of his cute smile and adorable curls.

One thing I cannot live without…

Bonne Bell Lipsmacker in Dr. Pepper. I hate the taste of lipstick, but can’t stand to not have something on my lips.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

in marketing/communications, which I am; a mother, which I am; I wife, which I loved being and my high school friends tell me I would sing Cher at the top of my lungs and proclaim I wanted to be a singer. I don’t remember doing or ever saying this, but my high school BFF Barbara swears I did, which I am working on a the moment.

I’m inspired by…

people, relationships, communication, miracles, yoga, beauty, design, love and, strangely, heartache (it’s good for songwriting).

The one person who motivates me is…

me.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

to teach kids at an early age how to respect themselves, respect others, find their unique gifts and to sing out loud.

The perfect day would be…

any day where I can go out for breakfast, do something outside for a bit, have a glass of champagne and take an afternoon nap, is perfect. Whatever else happens is just icing. So, like yesterday.

My first job was…

at Costco in Mesa. I still talk to and miss my Costco homies!!

My favorite escape…

Paris. Wine country. My boat.

My life…

has just begun, I think. Again.

I’m currently working on…

marketing clients, songs, the band, ideas – I’m a big thinker and a big creator so I’m always thinking. I like a lot of private time to ponder, read books, write anything and watch “How to Loose a Guy in 10 Days,” with a Sharing Size bag of peanut M&Ms (don’t ever bring me the regular size bag!)

Always…

stop and listen to yourself and what you need (this is hard for busy-bodies like me!).

Never…

doubt your intuition.

Favorite Quote…

I love “The Daily Love” for quotes. And I love quotes, in general – I have a million favorites. But my favorite today is by Rumi, “If you are bothered by every rub, how will you ever be polished?”

Biggest Dream…

is to make songs that inspire and people want to raise their own voices to.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

are dishonesty, missing deadlines, spelling “floor plan” as one word, nail clipping in public, and (the worse) dirty feet in bed – yuck!
