Foundress Friday: Meet Elizabeth Garcia, Producer and Creative Director at WildBird Studios

WildBird Studios is a creative production studio. We offer marketing strategy, creative direction, and video production to clients in healthcare and lifestyle industries.

AZF: What is your “life motto”?

Always stay golden and when it’s really tough, just put one foot in front of another.

AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path for you?

My father was an entrepreneur throughout my childhood, so I grew up surrounded by the mindset, and I think I came to understand a lot through osmosis. The “defining moment” was really more of a quiet confirmation that came only in looking back over the last decade and realizing that I had continued to grow, both in the scale of my work and in my skills as a creative and a leader — this has been the clearest affirmation that the path is enduring.

AZF: How do you feel best supported?

In community with other women in a similar season, working alongside a great team, and with the systems that leverage me!

AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?

I have a deep passion for what I do. I truly believe in the power of storytelling to change outcomes, and that belief fuels me most days. Entrepreneurship can challenge you to grow in ways you don’t always anticipate or like. It asks you to become more resilient, more discerning, and, at times, to confront what your values really are. In that way, it keeps me honest with myself, my priorities, and the kind of life and business I want to build.

AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday.

8am wakeup, gentle movement or walk to the mountain by my home followed by a cozy breakfast with my husband and child.

AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?

Find where your skills and passions intersect, then get really clear on how that combination can serve others. Loving what you do is important, but understanding how it creates value for someone else is what allows you to build something sustainable.

AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur? Even after a decade in this business, I still love leading a team through the process of bringing an idea, concept, or story from thin air to life. There is really nothing like seeing what started as an idea translated onto a screen, billboard, or printed material that impacts the viewer.
