City you live in: Scottsdale

A typical day in my life includes… I wake up at 5AM and am at the gym by 6AM, after a workout and I enjoy a 20 minute sauna. I arrive to my office where a I spend the first 30 minutes either listening to scripture, reading and praying. I attend a morning huddle with my team every morning at 8:30AM to align our goals for the day. I have a wonderful team that is very capable of running the business, in particular, their parts of the business, so I spend most of my day working on ways to improve the business, whether its customer service, improving offerings, improving our marketing and sales efforts or improving efficiencies. I leave promptly at 5PM and will have a nice dinner with my wife and relax before an early bedtime!

I was born… In Youngstown, Ohio, however moved to Scottsdale in 1976, so consider myself a native!

My favorite thing about Arizona… The lifestyle, which includes amazing weather, beautiful mountains and amazing reatuarants and entertainment.

I’m listening to… Managing People From What Matters. I am always learning and this book focuses on how to “manage” people better. I’m listening to it before I recommend it to my team.

My family… Is my why. I have always and will always prioritize my wife and children and now grandchildren over everything.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… In the past it would be Jesus Christ, as I am a Catholic and believe he is the most important person to walk on earth. In the present, it would be either Donald Trump or Elon Musk, as I am amazed by the impact they are having on the world both now and in the future. What drives them? Why are they successful? Leadership lessons? (not political, more all about what makes them unique as business leaders)

One thing I cannot live without… First thing that popped in my head was my wife. We have been married for almost 36 years and we are a great team.

When I was younger, I wanted to be… Corporate Leader. In my youth, I didn’t have a passion for something, I just figured I would be working in a big company somewhere, not an entrepreneur.

I’m inspired by… My kids. All three of my children are attacking the world head on. They could all make excuses for the difficulty they are facing, inflation, housing costs, social disorder, etc. They are just focusing on being the best versions of themselves.

The person/people who motivate(s) me is/are… My team and family. I want to do a good job and be successful so I can provide for both my team members and my family.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be… I wish that our country would embrace faith more than it does today.

The perfect day would be… Waking up slow with homemade coffee, nice hike in the McDowels, and enjoying a outdoor lunch at one of the amazing restaurants we have in Scottsdale.

My first job was… Feeding the animals (horses) and cleaning the grounds of my neighbors house.

My favorite escape… Long weekend in Sedona.

My life… Has had many up and downs, which happens when you have a few miles behind you, however is very good.

I’m currently working on… The complexity of improving the efficiency of the marketing and sales process in my company.

Always… Be honest, provide grace, prioritize your family.

Never… Complain and live in fear.

Favorite Quote… I attribute this to Elon Musk….”you only fail if you quit”.

Biggest Dream… Enjoying time off with my entire family.

My Pet Peeve(s)… People that blame people.
