At Lizzy V Business Solutions, the mission is to empower businesses in Phoenix and beyond. Elizabeth and her team aim to help clients achieve growth goals through tailored management consulting services that combine fun with strategic insight.

AZF: What is your “life motto”?

Keep moving.

AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path for you?

I didn’t always know. I used to thrive on working in the corporate world with more structure and security. I realized that entrepreneurship was right for me after a particularly long stint in the banking industry, where I learned a lot, but I found that I was losing myself in the process.

The creativity and freedom that I yearned for were met with rules, protocols, and indecision. Now, I am the “decision-maker” on all fronts that are important to me and my own growth.

AZF: How do you feel best supported?

I feel extremely supported by my friends, family and previous co-workers. My entire network has bound together to help make Lizzy V Business Solutions happen. From obtaining new clients to understanding my value and everything in between, my network has helped me organically grow Lizzy V Business Solutions to a stand-alone, successful business venture.

AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?

My desire to show my daughter and son that you can have a rewarding career and still attend soccer and football games motivates me to keep going when I feel challenged.

AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.

My perfect Saturday morning starts with coffee, my computer and my dogs (Maizy Blue and Luna Belle) while everyone is still sleeping. I recap from the last week and plan for the upcoming weeks by journaling and organizing my thoughts into actions.

AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?

I would suggest getting some experience under your belt for those who are determining whether being an entrepreneur would be right for them. It’s critical to know what you “don’t want” as much as you know what you “do want.” If this seems daunting, then surround yourself with a deep bench of seasoned mentors. I never want to stifle creativity, but there is knowledge in experience that is difficult to tap into if you haven’t felt it yet.

AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?

The most exciting thing about being an entrepreneur is constant change. Consulting can be a very thrilling occupation while working for any of the larger firms out there, so imagine being able to offer similar services on a more flexible schedule! No longer do we need to be “road warriors” or give 60+ hours a week to help businesses grow. Lizzy V Business Solutions is proof that you can move across industries and public or private sectors while achieving whatever personal and professional alignment means to you!
