A typical day in my life includes… waking up, working out, running errands, heading into work at the restaurant, grabbing dinner afterward, and calling it a night – that’s when I’m in town. I love to travel and do so often for pleasure!
I was born… in 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona
My favorite thing about Arizona… My favorite thing about Arizona is that we get 7–8 months of great weather and only 4–5 months of not-so-great weather – while most of the rest of the world has it the opposite.
I’m listening to… Justin Timberlake.
My family… is everything to me. I lost my father when I was 15 so it’s me, my mama, and my sister! We are a very tight group!
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… my father. He was one of my best friends and I miss him every single day!
One thing I cannot live without… sports. I learned that during covid. I went crazy not being able to watch sporting events on TV or attend sporting events.
When I was younger, I wanted to be… a general manager of a baseball team!
I’m inspired by… my late father and my mother. My late father was the most philanthropic and hardest working person I have ever met. My mother inspires me to be the best version of myself everyday. She is so selfless and I am so proud to call her my Mama!
The person/people who motivate(s) me is/are… I’ve always say I motivate myself. I never want to be complacent in any aspect of life, so I remind myself daily to work hard, be a great person, and keep climbing the mountain of life!
If I could change anything in the world, it would be… people getting terminal illnesses. We can all handle a little flu or a cold here and there but when I hear stories of people getting cancer or other life threatening issues, it makes my stomach turn.
The perfect day would be… jumping on a plane, landing in a big city, having a great lunch with a martini or two, walking around and doing a little shopping, going to a sporting event, eating an incredible dinner after with some cocktails, and ending the day with a great night’s sleep.
My first job was… an expo at Nick’s Italian.
My favorite escape… going to the Masters in Augusta, Georgia.
My life… is amazing! I’m happy and healthy – what more could a man ask for?

Bio: Brody’s Italian is a beloved neighborhood gem that has been a local staple for more than two decades. Owned and operated by Jason Brody, the restaurant is located in the Paradise Valley Marketplace at Tatum and Shea and is known for its welcoming, “Cheers”-like atmosphere, handmade pastas, daily-baked bread, and thoughtfully curated wine and cocktail program.
Jason Brody’s hands-on approach and genuine passion for hospitality are at the heart of the restaurant’s success. Many team members have been with him for years, helping shape Brody’s Italian into a place celebrated for its consistency, quality, and strong sense of community.
Jason graduated from Horizon High School in 2007 and Arizona State University in 2011, worked at Nick’s Italian from 2004 to 2022, then purchased the Tatum and Shea location in 2022. He rebranded it as Brody’s Italian in 2024, keeping the same staff and a similar menu while enhancing quality, interiors, and the wine and cocktail program.
