Arizona Has the Most Affordable Land in the U.S., Report

It’s no secret that the Arizona real estate market has experienced a boom over the past year.

For those looking to build from the ground up, the Grand Canyon State offers the most affordable land in the country, according to a recent report by InMyArea.com

The available acreage with the potential to build a residence is least expensive is in Arizona, where the price per acre clocks in at just over $4,000, while the median price per acre of land designated as a homesite is $3,920. The wide availability and low costs are due to the amount of underdeveloped land that Arizona has more than any other state.

In comparison, land in Rhode Island is the most expensive, costing a median price of over $350,000 per acre and $203,596 per homesite.
