HomeSmart Champions Well-Being at Work, Earns Blue Zones Approval

It’s no secret that we all want to feel at home, whether we’re relaxing in our living room or tackling the workday. For employees at HomeSmart’s headquarters, that feeling of comfort, support, and wellness is built right into their daily environment. And now, that commitment is getting national recognition.

HomeSmart, one of the top 10 real estate brokerages in the country, has become the first national real estate company in Arizona to receive Blue Zones Project Approved™ worksite status. The honor, awarded by Blue Zones Project® Scottsdale, highlights organizations that embrace lifestyle practices proven to help people live longer, healthier lives – much like the world’s Blue Zones regions, where longevity is the norm.

From sit-stand desks and an on-site fitness center to health coaching and employee assistance programs, HomeSmart has taken a thoughtful approach to workplace design. These offerings are more than perks – they reflect a deep understanding of what it means to support employees at work and at home.

“The team is honored to receive this approval, reinforcing what our culture and company have always been about – supporting the well-being, lifestyle quality, and potential of our staff and agents,” said Jayme DeVary, HomeSmart Director of People Operations.

The Blue Zones approval process looked at everything from workplace culture and leadership engagement to community involvement and sense of purpose. HomeSmart stood out for its employee-centered philosophy and commitment to creating a workplace where wellness is embedded in everyday life.

According to Kris Bio, well-being lead for Blue Zones Project Scottsdale, the partnership felt seamless:

“The process was incredibly smooth thanks to how naturally HomeSmart’s culture aligns with Blue Zones principles,” Bio said. “It’s clear they prioritize the well-being of the team in ways that reflect the core of our work.”

Blue Zones Project Scottsdale is a community-wide wellness initiative working in partnership with HonorHealth, The Cigna Group, and Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona.
