Verde River Golf & Social Club now welcomes its members and guests into the club’s new 30,000-sq.-ft. clubhouse. The clubhouse was crafted by award-winning designer Bing Hu and his team at H&S International.

The Club is the centerpiece of Shea Homes’ newest Trilogy master-planned resort community near Scottsdale, and its completion is the final major component in the development of Verde River Golf & Social Club. The state-of-the-art facility features views of Weaver’s Needle, Four Peaks, Mazatzal mountains and Tonto National Forest.

Dishing up hearty salads, grilled prime cuts, local brews, hand-crafted cocktails and a broad wine selection, Needle Rock Kitchen and Tap features a wood-fired oven where artisan pizzas and other fare are freshly prepared above natural flame, while the chef-inspired menu includes seasonal favorites with a regional flare. Opening into the courtyard is The Market Placem a coffee bar, sandwich shop and neighborhood grocer. Here, members can purchase pasta, organic sauces, olive oils, wines, milk, eggs and their daily cup of hot coffee or on-tap cold brew.

Alvea Spa, which is open to the public, brings full-service salon and spa amenities to the northeast corner of the Valley, while golfers are already likely familiar with Eddy’s Poolside, offering casual fare, a fire pit and cocktails. The Outfitter, which has been open for a year, is the starting point for adventure with kayaks, paddleboards, mountain and road bikes, hiking gear and more.

Though eventually Verde River Golf & Social Club in Rio Verde will be fully private, key features of the club, including the recently remodeled golf course, the new Needle Rock Kitchen and Tap, and Alvea Spa, will be open to the public while the membership grows. Per the press release, the following amenities and services are reserved for members: Helen’s Kitchen hosts everything from cooking demonstrations and classes to viewing parties for sporting events and other programs. The three areas found at the Art Loft – studio, art yard, and lawn – provide members with plenty of room to explore their artistic side. The Sports Pavilion features four tennis courts (one stadium), four pickleball courts, bocce ball, and a croquet lawn. The resort-style pool is surrounded by palm trees and a variety of lounge seating and private cabanas. There also is a lap pool and yoga lawn adjacent to the Afterburn Strength in Movement facility which provides members a complete array of exercise equipment and space based in the popular HIIT system.
