Astrie Opens at Uptown, Bringing Luxury Resort-Style Living to Tucson

A new chapter in Tucson’s evolving urban landscape has officially opened. Bourn Companies celebrated the grand opening of Astrie, welcoming its first residents to the luxury residential community and marking the first completed piece of Uptown, the company’s 2.5 million-square-foot redevelopment of the former Foothills Mall site at Ina Road and La Cholla Boulevard.

Astrie welcomed its first residents in June and is now leasing, offering the first opportunity to experience the vision behind Uptown, which is being developed as an Urban Resort Village blending the energy of urban living with the comfort and amenities of a resort-inspired destination. For Bourn Companies CEO Don Bourn, having residents move in represents an especially meaningful milestone.

“The Astrie is where Uptown becomes real,” Bourn said. “For the first time, people are no longer watching this district take shape, they’re living in it. Welcoming our founding residents is the most meaningful milestone in the project so far, and it reflects the quality and intention we’re bringing to every phase of Uptown.”

Astrie’s residences range from studios to two-bedroom-plus-den homes, with features designed to give everyday living an elevated feel. Homes include nine-foot ceilings, open kitchens with quartz countertops and large center islands, full-size washers and dryers and keyless entry. Select residences also feature floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies.

The amenities are equally focused on creating a hospitality-inspired experience. Residents have access to a hotel-style lobby with concierge service, a resort-style pool and spa, rooftop terraces and a boutique fitness center. A demonstration kitchen, speakeasy and Skybox sports lounge provide spaces for gathering, while a pet spa and massage rooms add extra convenience.

Astrie was built by Chasse Building Team and designed by PMM Architects, with interiors by INDesign. Asset Living manages the community.

“Projects like Astrie are only possible through a truly collaborative team,” said Jeff Dupois, director of Operations for Chasse. “Bourn Companies came to this project with a clear vision, and it shows in the craftsmanship throughout Astrie. We’re proud of what this team has built for Tucson.”

Astrie is just the beginning. Construction continues across Uptown, with the Tempo by Hilton expected to open in early 2027 as the district’s first hospitality offering. Future retail, dining and entertainment is also planned, including Barnes & Noble, Clio, Memoir and a Los Milics Vineyards tasting room. Astrie is currently offering its limited-time Ambassador Pricing program, with preferred rates and exclusive benefits for founding residents. Learn more at Bourn Companies.
