A new mixed-use luxury infill project by Pario Development has been approved by the City of Scottsdale. The Bishop will create a vibrant live-work environment in a previously abandoned and blighted site in the heart of the Old Town Arts District.
“The Bishop will offer an unparalleled luxury experience in Old Town, with an emphasis on resident privacy, spacious living, and a highly walkable, pedestrian-friendly atmosphere,” Developer Gordon Berry said.
Designed by acclaimed architect C.P. Drewett, the new development will feature 17 luxury condominium units and 6,500 square feet of commercial space. Architecturally, it will be a visual upgrade to the neighborhood, replacing dilapidated structures with a contemporary design that is appropriately scaled and respectful of the environment, according to Drewett.
“Our goal is to bring a new level of luxury to the district, with expansive floor plans, private two- to three-car garages, and in-unit elevators,” Drewett said. “We’ve worked closely with city staff to ensure the project adds architectural significance to this prominent location in the Arts District.”
Just a short walk from the Museum of the West, as well as nearby shops and restaurants, the site will be redeveloped with pedestrian walkways, native landscaping, and ambient lighting to enhance the streetscape.
The new three-story building incorporates a variety of sustainable materials including exposed concrete, zinc, glass and plaster, while large overhangs and indoor-outdoor living spaces will define its striking architectural identity. For more information, visit parioland.com.
