The 2022 RAV4 Hybrid continues to rule the roadways as a reliable, fuel-efficient choice. In a world where prices are soaring all around us, and we’re looking to save anywhere that we can, 40 mpg, with a range of over 550 miles between each fill-up, isn’t too shabby. In addition, the RAV4 continues to deliver good looks, a spacious cabin and lots of standard safety features.
New for 2022 is the SE trim as part of the Hybrid line-up. This is a welcome addition, as the RAV4 in XSE and Limited form, can come in at a price point too high for many. Cancelling out any savings you hope to achieve at the pump over the life of the vehicle. While the SE might miss out on the 8-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, illuminated interior switches and LED fog lights that are new for the more premium models; not a single safety and driving convenience feature is missed.
You’ll still be treated to radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, auto high beams, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert and more. Pepper in the LED projector headlights, 18” black sport alloy wheels, roof rack and moonroof, and the visual flair is undeniable. For residents of colder climates, a reasonably priced Weather Package will heat your seats, steering wheel and add a de-icing function to you windshield wipers.
Toyota was one of the very first to tinker with Hybrid technology. Such a long history has certainly given it an edge. With the 2022 RAV4 SE, you get a spacious, dependable SUV that’s AWD, handsomely designed both inside and out, and engineered to have you going further and stopping less to fill up. A package that only gets more and more appealing with each passing year.
