2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 is Pure American Muscle

There is something inherent in the human psyche that craves the thrill of high performance.  We often seek this out in sports or in professional pursuits, but the muscle car, the crown king icon of the thrill seeking rebel, is a uniquely American avenue for the expression and indulgence of this appetite.  The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 offers all of this in a package that is realistic for the needs of the entire family.

With a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 putting out 465 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque – a boost of some 80 lb-ft over the old 6.1-liter mill, and a torquey wave coming on at 2,900 rpm, the SRT8 is a true performance machine.  A performance machine with four doors and a surprisingly spacious interior.  Driver amenities include a 19 speaker Harmon Kardon stereo system, a flat bottomed steering wheel, bolstered seats, and a “select your own gear” system that works by either slapping the AutoStick or thumbing the steering wheel-mounted paddle-shifters.

The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 tops out at 175 mph, and reaches from zero to 60 in roughly 4 seconds.

Phoenix Valley auto enthusiasts can keep an eye out for the new 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 at any  Phoenix Valley Dodge dealer sometime early next year.  Phoenix Valley auto enthusiasts should plan on attending the Phoenix Arizona International Auto Show to learn about the most recent concepts and innovations in the auto industry, as well as to see the latest vehicles and concepts emerging from the reborn muscle car sector, taking place at the Phoenix Arizona Convention center over Thanksgiving weekend.
