Spring 2009 philosophy Goodies

I absolutely heart philosophy products. I’ll admit, when I first stumbled upon the line of bath, beauty and skincare goodies I was thrown off by the cheeky names, sweet fragrances and highly skeptical that they even worked. (I figured bubble gum-scented shampoo? Yeah right.)  But as any devout philosophy follower will tell you, try it once and you’ll never doubt how good the stuff is. And the fun fragrances are just sweeten the deal.

philosophy is actually headquartered in the Valley and was started in 1996.This spring, philosophy is rolling out a slew of new products and boy am I excited. I’m coveting the when hope is not enough omega 3,6,9 set of body lotion and body scrub. Check out the new skincare goodies below.

I know plenty a girl that absolutely swears by philosophy’s when hope is not enough moisturizer. Even Oprah herself swears by the cream. Now the brand has unveiled a new when hope is not enough omega 3,6,9 hydrating body lotion for parched skin. Especially with the Valley’s warm, dry climate, keeping your skin hydrated is an absolute essential. And the new when hope is not enough omega 3,6,9, hydrating body lotion is packed with antioxidants, peptides, like olive oil and omega 3,6 and 9 essential fatty acids that conditions and restores dry, irritated skin and protects it from the environment.

Still confused? Here’s the breakdown.

Omega-3 (linseed oil) and omega-6 (borage oil and evening primrose oil)  are essential fatty acids that work together to heal the skin’s moisture barrier. Sunflower oil is another ingredient which is an omega-9 and the lotion also has olive oil which is rich in omega 3,6 and 9 essential fatty acids that work together to protect and condition environmentally stressed skin. Palmitoyly tripetide-5 moisturizes dry skin and helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles while vitamin e is a great antioxidant.

  2. It’s rare that a product can smell like cinnamon rolls or candy canes but actually work great! That’s why Philosophy is so wonderful–quality products that are really creative too!

  3. A company headquartered in the Valley of the Sun should be trusted to produce a high-quality, hydrating moisturizer. Count me in!
