Luxury resale has become one of the fastest-growing segments of the retail industry, but long before sustainable shopping became a mainstream movement, Eco-Chic was helping customers rethink the way they bought and sold designer goods. This July, the Valley-based company is celebrating 35 years of business, marking a milestone that reflects decades of innovation and sustainability.
Founded in Phoenix in 1991, Eco-Chic opened its first boutique with a simple vision: create a luxury resale store that felt welcoming, organized and enjoyable to shop. At a time when many secondhand stores were crowded and difficult to navigate, the founders believed designer resale deserved a more polished approach.
That philosophy quickly resonated. Customers embraced the opportunity to purchase coveted luxury brands at a fraction of retail prices while also earning money by selling pieces they no longer used. The concept proved that resale could be convenient, stylish and accessible for both buyers and sellers.

Over the past three and a half decades, that original boutique has grown into a family of well-known brands serving customers throughout Arizona and California. My Sister’s Closet has become a destination for authenticated luxury fashion and accessories, featuring sought-after labels such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Hermès, Prada, Saint Laurent, Dior and Rolex.
The company later expanded with My Sister’s Attic, bringing the same approach to designer furniture, artwork, lighting, décor and unique home furnishings. Well Suited rounded out the collection by offering luxury menswear, including designer suits, sport coats, shoes, watches and accessories.
As demand continued to grow, Eco-Chic expanded beyond its roots, opening locations in Scottsdale and Chandler, before bringing its luxury resale model to California. Today, shoppers can browse inventory both in-store and online, giving even more customers access to carefully curated designer merchandise.

Eco-Chic’s commitment to sustainability has remained constant. Long before terms like “circular fashion” entered everyday conversation, the company recognized the environmental value of extending the life of luxury goods through resale. By giving millions of items, a second home over the years, Eco-Chic has helped reduce waste while making high-end fashion and home décor more attainable.
“Thirty-five years ago, we set out to create a better way to shop and sell luxury items,” CEO Heather Zorge said. “What started as a simple idea has grown into an incredible community of customers, sellers, employees, and supporters who have embraced resale as both a smart and sustainable choice. We are honored to celebrate this milestone and grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey.”
Looking ahead, the company plans to continue building on that legacy by expanding the resale movement, reaching new markets and maintaining the high standards that have helped define its reputation for more than three decades. For more information, visit mysisterscloset.com.
