In 2012, Arizona will celebrate its 100th birthday. To commemorate this very special birthday, The Stockyards Restaurant in Phoenix, a longtime favorite and delicious steakhouse, is asking Valley dwellers to submit recipes for The Centennial Taste of Arizona menu. (Recipes can be cherished family formulas that have been passed down through generations or a restaurant favorite.) The final menu selections will be determined by the Centennial Commission (AzCC was created to execute a comprehensive plan to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Arizona’s statehood and to coordinate national, regional, state, and local observances of the Centennial, by the way) and featured at the Stockyards beginning Feb. 14, 2011. The deadline to submit recipes is Dec. 15. The Centennial Menu is to act as a legacy for future generations to add to and enjoy.
