6 Splashy Spring Nail Colors

Now that springtime is in full force, actually it doesn’t start until March 20th but it sure does feel like spring here in the Arizona desert, anyway, my flip-flops and sandals are finding their way out of the closet and on to my feet. Of course beside the fact that my feet haven’t seen the light of day in months (meaning they are white as can be) they also haven’t seen a fresh paint in a while. As women we know it is not just the clothes that change come warm weather, the nails and toes have need a wardrobe change too. Here are some fun nail colors to try this season.

butter London is a favorite here at Style Files and their creative director hit the nail on the head with Bossy Boots, an opaque pistachio green. This color was seen all over the runways and is what I like to call spring’s neutral color.

A few weeks ago we showed some gorgeous tangerine handbags and if you’ve stepped foot into any major department store you can see that that this bright color is surely on trend or at the very least trendy. If you are not too keen on carrying around bright orange accessories try painting your nails with Sephora by O.P.I.’s Paisley Attention. It’s amazing!

I am a one of those girls who just can’t say no to glitter even the most outrageous ones with multiple colors, but I can also appreciate a more sophisticated shimmer like Dior’s Pink Pompadour—a classy and feminine pink with just the slightest bit of glitter.

If you are going to be on vacation and in the sun try something a bit more… well, fun in the sun. Deborah Lippmann’s ‘On the Beach’ nail color is the perfect resort shade. As they say, Whether you’re away or just dreaming about it, these shades make you feel like you’re on vacation.

A nail classic is surely making its way back onto the nail color scene with splashy new names like Vernis in Love Boudoir Time. Yes, we are talking red ladies and Lancôme is doing it well with its color inspired by the Rouge in Love lip collection.

I know that I said that pistachio was going to be the neutral of spring, but actual neutrals are always a great option, any time of the year. A creamy color like Essie’s Allure is perfect for an everyday, clean, and sophisticated chic look.
