Seasoned Esthetician Returns Home to Open Colette Skin Studio in Scottsdale

In a move that illustrates a strong public interest in natural products, veteran esthetician Kim Carson has opened Colette Skin Studio in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Named after her 10-year-old daughter, the studio carries Biologique Recherche, a holistic skincare line out of Paris. Carson is a native and recently moved back to the Phoenix area from Los Angeles to open her new business.

The new studio specializes in natural, pure products and holistic treatments.

“The concept behind Colette Skin Studio is to provide personalized skincare for each client and to prove that you can have astonishing results without sacrificing your health for beauty,” said Founder Kim Carson.

“I’ve been using the Biologique Recherche protocol for many years now and find that the results are second to none.”

Founded in the late 1970s by a family of artisanal skincare experts, Biologique Recherche came about through the passion of biologist and physiotherapist duo Yvan and Josette Allouche. They devised an exclusive, customized methodology of cosmetic treatments adapted to every skin type and based on products with a high concentration of active ingredients. Biologique Recherche started as a research and development lab, focusing exclusively on formulating products for beauty professionals who were disappointed by the products available at that time.

“Women, in particular, are actively asking for purer skincare products,” Carson added. “They are doing their research and finding that much of what they use is laden with impurities and chemicals. Biologique Recherche is very on point with that trend.”

Prior to opening Colette Skin Studio, located at 4225 Brown Ave., in Scottsdale, Carson was a longtime esthetician in Los Angeles, with over 25 years of experience.

Family ties brought her back to the Phoenix area with her husband and three kids. Carson is one of only two estheticians locally to carry the Biologique Recherche line; she has completed the Biologique Recherche Academie, as part of her training.

Prices start at $150 for a 60-minute session. Colette Skincare Studio is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. To book an appointment or for more information, visit www.coletteskinstudio.com.
