Chapin House Opens in Paradise Valley

Paradise Valley has welcomed a new destination for design lovers and collectors with the grand opening of Chapin House, a project brought to life by entrepreneurs Heather and Chip Hassan.

The grand opening in November introduced guests to the new space while raising funds for PANDA, a charity that supports essential medical research for children. Chapin House donated 25 percent of all sales that evening to the organization. Guests explored the space while shopping and enjoying bubbles, beer, and light bites.

The Hassans have transformed the building at 6310 N. Scottsdale Road into a destination that blends beauty and discovery. Inside, visitors will find an eclectic mix of showrooms curated by some of the Valley’s most respected dealers and collectors. Every corner tells its own story, with antiques, artwork, home décor, gift items, and tabletop treasures on display. New additions include boutiques that feature both modern and vintage finds. One standout is the Valley’s largest and most diverse selection of home fragrance products.

The name Chapin House holds personal and international meaning for the Hassans. It reflects their history in retail while nodding to their cross-cultural legacy abroad, symbolizing a new chapter built on connection, creativity, and community.

“We’re delighted to officially open Chapin House and to welcome so many longtime clients and new customers into the space,” Heather Hassan said. “The grand opening marks a meaningful new beginning for us and for the community we love.”

One of the signature offerings housed within Chapin House is Pagoda Lane, a gift and home décor boutique the Hassans have operated since 2017. Known for its unique and memorable curated items, Pagoda Lane offers personalized monogramming on-site, allowing customers to create custom gifts and keepsakes. From cashmere wraps and cosmetic cases to towels, tote bags, and travel accessories, the shop gives guests a chance to walk out with pieces that are truly theirs.

For the Hassans, Chapin House is the latest step in a remarkable career that spans more than 30 years. The husband-and-wife team previously owned and operated furniture stores in Denver, Scottsdale, Las Vegas, and Shanghai, building a reputation for thoughtful design, curated retail environments, and attentive customer service.
