All-New Scottsdale Quarter to Open Three Stores

Even in these tough economic times, Scottsdale never ceases to amaze. As if embracing CityNorth wasn’t enough, a new $270 million shopping district and mixed use development, Scottsdale Quarter is in the works and is soon to open two home furnishing stores by the end of the month and a tasty Italian restaurant to follow in April.

Scottsdale Quarter, opening just across from Kierland Commons on the East side of Scottsdale Road will begin its extensive unveiling process with Williams-Sonoma Home, West Elm and Brio Tuscan Grille. Us girls can rejoice in the Quarter’s inclusion of H&M, our favorite cosmopolitan style superstore, set to open in the first of three phases, along with an Apple and Nike store, and Oakville Grocery, which imports from the beautiful Napa Valley!

Set to feature the best in fashion and cuisine, Scottsdale Quarter is said to mirror Melrose of Los Angeles and 3rd Street of Santa Monica making it a five-star luxury destination for Valley residents and tourists.

If you think Scottsdale Quarter is simply an expansion to the Kierland Commons, you’re mistaken. The architecture is expected to appear much more varied than the Commons with the use of steel, glass and stone. The inclusion of fountains and shaded areas will add to the tranquil, yet elegant shopping experience.

The retail and office buildings along the 28-acre development will have four levels with all retails stores at the bottom and businesses on the upper levels, and will boast 2,400 parking spaces in two garages.

Already underway, the second phase will make a substantial difference to the new district with dozens of new eateries, shops, a new plaza with a fountain and the Gold Class Cinema — a remarkable new movie theatre!

Give thanks to Glimcher Realty Trust, Vanguard City Home and the Wolff Co. for they are developing this sure to be Scottsdale treasure.

  1. Can.Not.Wait. West Elm might be my most favorite place to get furniture (my master br looks like a showroom–well, a West Elm clearance showroom). And Oakville Grocery might be the cutest darn place ever. Yummy sammies!

  2. I drive by this place everyday on my way to and from work and they are really coming along! You’re right, it will look much different than Kierland. So excited for West Elm, as well as everything else–great places coming!

  3. I LOVE THE DESIGN!! it seems like they were clearing the lot forever, and the all of a sudden the shopping center is up! it looks awesome, and i cannot wait to shop here!! when is h&m opening?? that is going to be HUGE for the center, ahhhhh!!! can’t wait.

  4. Sounds like someone got it meaning not just buliding a new center with the same stores already here in the valley. Williams-Sonoma Home sounds like a great place to go visit. Shows why it is good to have more than one developer in the valley for shopping. Barneys is another great example of great new retail Phoenix deserves.

  5. As an East Coast transplant, I can’t wait for West Elm and H & M to open. For years I could only shop at H & M went I went home, now I can soon do as often as I want.

  6. Wow I’m so excited. I had no idea this is where William Sonoma, West Elm, and H&M were going. This will be such a nice to place to go to for food and shopping when it opens!

  7. Looks like something to check out in a few months once things get going. Can’t go wrong in any Nike Store is what I like to say . . .
