Dark Sky Brewing Co. in Flagstaff is giving Oktoberfest a furry upgrade with its Dog-toberfest celebration, a two-week extravaganza dedicated to good brews, great food, and man’s best friend. Running through October 5, the series is inspired by the brewery’s love for dogs and the community that adores them. Dog-toberfest brings together fall traditions and fun, raising funds for local animal causes along the way.
On September 24, Dark Sky Brewing turns up the flavor with a special Fall Equinox Dinner from 5-9 p.m. This four-course culinary experience, priced at $75 per person, includes a beer flight featuring some of Dark Sky’s most popular brews. While guests indulge in the seasonal menu, their dogs can lounge alongside them in the beer garden and enjoy a gourmet treat of their own.
The fun continues on September 27, when Dark Sky becomes a highlight of Flagstaff’s beloved Barks & Brews brewery crawl. Running from 12-4 p.m., this annual charity event invites craft beer fans and their four-legged companions to explore eight participating breweries. Each stop features two samples. Proceeds from the crawl benefit several animal rescue groups, including the Canyon Animal Care Foundation.
On September 28, the brewery’s beer garden transforms into a haven of calm and cuteness for Puppy Yoga at 10:30 a.m. Led by a certified instructor, this hour-long session invites participants to stretch, breathe, and laugh as puppies tumble around their mats. After the workout, guests can relax with a $2 recovery beer and meet adoptable dogs at a monthly adoption event hosted by High Country Humane. Tickets are $30.
Dog-toberfest concludes on October 5, wrapping up a celebration that’s as much about community spirit as it is about hops and hounds. With each event, Dark Sky Brewing continues to deepen its ties to Flagstaff and its animal-loving residents. For more, visit darkskybrewing.com.
