Why the World’s Top Models Are All Hashtagging #FyreFestival

If you follow basically any mega model or It Girl on Instagram you’ve probably noticed a slew of plain orange tiles with the hashtag #fyrefestival posted from their accounts over the past couple days. You were probably also perplexed as to why Hollywood’s elite was mysteriously posting non-sensical blank squares all at once in lieu of the usual selfie.

Well, this past weekend, major stars including the likes of Alessandra AmbrosioBella HadidHailey BaldwinEmily RatajkowskiElsa HoskPaulina VegaLais RibeiroRose BertramGizele Oliveira and Hannah Ferguson flew down to a little placed called Fyre Cay in the Bahamas, supposedly once home to Blackbeard and Pablo Escobar. Fortunately the pirates and drug lords vacated just in time for the celeb squad to release an official sneak peak of the first-ever Fyre Festival coming spring 2017.

Taking place on the private island April 28 – 30, 2017 and May 5 – 7, 2017, the festival will offer guests a “once in a lifetime experience featuring two weekends of music, culture, art and food” according to Fyre reps. Fyre says partiers can expect the hottest artists, the most beautiful water in the world, yachts, jet skis, activities like seabobbing, yoga on the beach, water trampolines, snorkeling near a plane wreck off Norman’s Cay and more than $1 million of real treasure and jewels hidden on the island. Sure, sign us up.
