Gilbert’s Epicenter is bringing the Summer Games home with a season-long celebration of cocktails, competition, and community. From drink showdowns to calorie-burning charity challenges, the mixed-use destination is turning up the heat with events that bring everyone together for a good time.
At UnderTow, tiki culture goes head-to-head in a playful competition dubbed Battle of the Booze. From July 15 through 31, guests can taste their way through three bold contenders: the Passion Fruit Mojito, Tropical Itch, and the frozen Come Hell or High Water. After sampling, they cast their votes on Instagram. The winning drink will be featured at half-price all August, making this a competition with a delicious reward.
“This summer, we wanted to turn our cocktail creativity into a friendly competition – because what’s better than tiki drinks and a little community rivalry? Let the best cocktail win!” said Mat Snapp, EVP of Operations at Barter & Shake, which operates UnderTow.
The Collective is transforming sweat into sustenance with the Strong Together Challenge. This initiative aims to log 10,000 workouts to help provide 10,000 meals for Feed My Starving Children. Whether through high-intensity hybrid rides, drop-in fitness challenges, or a seminar with endurance athlete Hunter McIntyre on July 26, participants are encouraged to push themselves for a good cause.
“Every rep, ride, and workout this July is a chance to give back. Our Strong Together Challenge is about coming together as a family to fuel real change,” CEO and Founder Jeremy Jones said.
Meanwhile, Gadzooks is turning up the flavor with a July full of taco-fueled festivities. The beloved taco and enchilada spot is introducing Churro Chips this month, rolling out patriotic perks with free drinks for red, white, and blue-clad customers on July 4, and hosting fundraiser nights for local causes.
“We’re all about big flavors and good vibes – and this July, that includes Churro Chips, party trays, and some community-friendly fundraisers. It’s the ultimate taco team-up,” Gadzooks Owner Jared Pool said.
For those looking to mix creativity with camaraderie, Beer Barn is the go-to social spot this summer. With weekly events like paint-and-sip nights, yoga paired with craft beer, wine tasting bingo, and lively cornhole tournaments, there’s something on tap for everyone.
“Summer at Beer Barn is all about community and connection, whether it’s trivia nights, bingo with a twist, or cornhole tournaments, there’s something fun brewing every week,” Beer Barn’sChris Hubbard said.
Together, these events are turning Gilbert’s Epicenter into a summer playground where residents can sip, sweat, and support their way through July. Learn more at epicenteratagritopia.com.
