The Food Truck Caravan has already made a big splash on the Scottsdale dining scene. Now, the weekly food truck event (which is held every Saturday night from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. on the NW corner of 5th Ave. and Goldwater in Scottsdale) unveils two new programs this month: the Mirage Tent and Chef’s Table.
The Mirage Tent is a tent–designed by Kim Jones of the Lifestyle Duchess–in which guests can sit back and enjoy four courses. The décor in the Mirage Tent will Moroccan themed with comfortable seating, pillows, blankets and lighting. Chef’s Table debuts Oct. 19 when Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef Tim Cobb of Luncha Libre Gourmet Food Truck serves up to eight people in the Mirage Tent. (To reserve the Mirage Tent without the Chef’s Table, it is $150 per night. To reserve the Mirage Tent and Chef’s Table, call Lori Baker at 480.251.1769, pricing ranges between $60-$75 per person based on the participating chef.)
