October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To honor this special month, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar is thinking pink. During the month of October, Fleming’s new signature cocktail The Stiletto and Cline Cellar’s Cashmere wine will raise funds for organizations providing research and support in the fight against breast cancer.
Cline Cashmere wine will be featured by the glass on the 5 for $6 ‘til 7 menu. (It is $6 for the glass.) Cline Cellars is making a $25,000 donation to Living Beyond Breast Cancer through the sales of Cashmere during the month. Fleming’s is offering a little something special to guests who order Cline Cashmere; they will receive a complimentary pink ribbon wine charm.
Proceeds from The Stiletto will be donated to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade–100 percent of the proceeds, in fact. The Stiletto martini is Fleming’s newest Skinny Cocktail. Fleming’s Director of Wine Maeve Pesquera created the 99-calorie drink in celebration of the women whose lives have been affected by breast cancer. The Stiletto is Fleming’s first gin-based skinny cocktail. It muddles Hendrick’s Gin with fresh blackberries, Monin and lime juice and is topped with a float of diet ginger ale. The cocktail is $6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fleming’s or $9.95 after 7 p.m. Recipe below:
1.25 oz Hendrick’s Gin
5 Fresh Blackberries
1 oz. Monin, Sugar Free
.5 oz. Lime Juice
As needed Top with Diet Ginger Ale
Muddle blackberries with Monin Sugar Free. Add Hendrick’s. Shake. Strain and pour into martini glass. Top with diet ginger ale. Garnish with two blackberries on a black bar pick.
