Mora Italian (pictured) by acclaimed chef, restaurateur, cookbook author and judge on Food Network’s “Chopped,” Scott Conant, opens tomorrow, Feb. 3, on Phoenix’s booming Seventh Street. Serving dinner, lunch, happy hour and soon, weekend brunch, Mora’s menu holds Chef Conant’s seasonal lineup of Italian osteria-inspired dishes, including Chef’s award-winning Pizza Napoletana options. Guests can cozy up in tufted banquets and enjoy the stunning open kitchen, streetside patio and showpiece bar.
A brand new bar, named The Bar, is now open in Central Phoenix providing top-notch beverages and upscale comfort food (think ironed ground beef sliders along with pressed sandwiches and folded pork quesadillas). The Bar is located at the northwest corner of the 32nd Street and Indian School Road intersection.
On Thursday, Feb. 9, Chompie’s celebrates National Bagel Day by giving guests a free bagel with cream cheese with a purchase at Chompie’s five Phoenix locations.
Found each Saturday in the heart of Downtown Phoenix, the Open Air Market at Phoenix Public Market celebrates its 12th Anniversary on Feb. 4 with free yoga by Sutra Roosevelt, Maya’s Farm cooking demo, Native Seeds/SEARCH workshop, live music, swing dancing, limited edition anniversary shirts, giveaways to the first 50 people and cake. Shake Shack announces the first-ever mobile ordering Shack App for iOS is now available nationwide. To celebrate the occasion, Shake Shack is giving away a free single ShackBurger to each guest who downloads the new Shack App, redeemable at all three Valley locations at Scottsdale Fashion Square, Uptown Plaza in Phoenix, and Kierland Commons in Phoenix until Tuesday, Feb. 28. To get a free ShackBurger, guests simply need to download the Shack App, create an account and use the promo code “shackappy” at checkout.
It’s All Greek To Me will celebrate its grand opening at Tempe Marketplace on Tuesday, Feb. 7 with free, full-sized wraps for all customers. Wrap lovers can choose between two classic options – The Gyro Wrap or Chicken Shawarma Wrap – from 6 to 8 p.m. To ring in the grand opening the Greek way, It’s All Greek To Me will enlist live Greek musicians to keep the authentic beat.
Tom’s Restaurant & Tavern in Downtown Phoenix and IMAGO Style will host “Speakeasy Party” benefiting Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock charity. The event will be held on Feb. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. Tom’s Restaurant & Tavern will have a limited dinner menu for the evening including customer favorite Slow Cooked Pork Belly, complimentary passed appetizers, sparkling wine and signature cocktail for guests. Sugar Thieves will be preforming classy jazz music throughout the night, intermittent with other activities. Tickets for the event are $25 and can be purchased on Eventbrite.
Thursday, February 9, is National Pizza Pie Day and Fired Pie is celebrating with a giveaway. On Feb. 9, from 2 p.m. to close, at all Fired Pie locations, if you buy a pizza and two drinks you get a second pizza free. Offer is good for in store pick-up orders only.
