Hopdoddy has launched its new “Twice the Craft” beer and burger special at both Arizona locations. Hopdoddy craft beer fans in Phoenix and Scottsdale can pair any of the restaurant’s mainstay burgers with any local draft beer for only $10. The promotion will run through Monday, Oct. 31, any day of the week.
Jewel’s Bakery and Cafe in Phoenix offers a great fall brunch special, which includes a bottle of Champagne and orange juice for $20.
Celebrate National Cheeseburger Day, Sept. 18, with Okra Cookhouse & Cocktails in Phoenix. Enjoy Okra’s famous Soul Burger includes onions, pickles, American cheese and Soul sauce. On the 18th, the restaurant  will feature the Soul Burger for $9. The special will go all day Sunday, 3 to 9 p.m.
This Saturday, Sept. 17, join Brat Haus for Oktoberfest from 4 p.m. to close. This year, Oktoberfest will be for guests 21 years of age and older only. Admission is $8 online and $10 at the door. Anyone that comes dressed in lederhosen or dirndl will be admitted for free. Test your skills in a variety of competitions including brat eating, stein holding, lederhosen, dirndl, and a badass beard contests. Oktoberfest activities highlights include beer garden games, live entertainment, a special Oktoberfest firkin tapping with Four Peaks Brewery and a smorgasbord of artisan sausages, pretzels, schnitzel, and the porchetta pork belly-stuffed with haus sausage and pork roast with fennel and lemon. The event benefits Benefiting Honor Flight of Arizona.
In honor of September being Hunger Awareness Month, guests who dine at Fox Restaurant Concepts will have the chance to make a difference. Throughout September, as part of Fox Restaurant Concepts’ annual giving campaign, “Feed the Soul”, $1 will be donated to No Kid Hungry for every online reservation made through participating restaurants’ Web sites.
Speaking of Fox Restaurant Concepts, Doughbird, the latest restaurant from Sam Fox, is set to open in early spring 2017 at 44th Street and Indian School Road with a focus on pizza and rotisserie. The menu will offer a variety of seasonal and signature fresh-baked pizzas and hand-rubbed, organic rotisserie chickens. Doughbird will also serve folded sandwiches and salads alongside fresh baked breads. Guests will be able to dine at Doughbird for lunch and dinner daily or pick-up food from the dedicated to-go counter and grab-and-go fridge fully equipped with beer and wine.

Celebration National Guacamole Day on Sept. 16 during Rock the Guac at Hotel Valley Ho. Top-notch area chefs will come together to prepare their very best guacamole, including Mark Tarbell, Aaron May, Alex Stratta and Matt Carter, all competing for the Top Guac honors.  There will be live music, DJ, voting/awards and much more. The bar will feature Patron cocktails, Corona beer and more.
ZuZu at Hotel Valley Ho is serving up four courses paired with four wines at the monthly Monday Night Chef’s Table series. At the upcoming dinner on September 19, explore the delicious wines of Napa Cellars, which puts a modern spin on classic Napa wines. Enjoy conversation from Executive Chef Charles Wiley and the evening’s special guest. The seasonal menu is crafted to pair perfectly with the specific pours of the night. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and costs $68 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made at 480.421.7997.
