Arizona’s Steve Short Culinary Team (SSCT) is stepping into a new era at Arizona State University, announcing a 15-year strategic partnership with Aramark that significantly broadens its footprint across all four campuses. The new agreement marks a major milestone for the culinary team, which has served the community for more than two decades.
With this expansion, SSCT will continue operating the historic University Club and now extend its services to a greater number of venues across the university. From full-service catering and elevated bar programs to high-profile events, SSCT will bring its hospitality to more departments, students, and guests than ever before.
“This partnership represents more than just a contract — it’s a mutual commitment to the university we both deeply admire,” COO Steve Short said. “Aramark has been an extraordinary collaborator throughout this process. Together, we’re building something that neither of us could have achieved alone: a hospitality experience that is innovative, inclusive, and uniquely ASU.”
Short also emphasized the trust and shared vision behind the move:
“This represents more than an operational shift, it’s a testament to the trust we’ve built over the years and the shared vision we hold with Aramark and ASU,” he said. “We’re honored to contribute to a model that values consistency, excellence, and community-rooted service in some of the university’s most dynamic spaces.”
Aramark and SSCT aim to introduce a new model for campus hospitality — one that prioritizes community, innovation, and sustainability. The partnership is set to reshape how ASU experiences food, service, and engagement in dining venues, stadiums, and beyond. Learn more at steveshortculinaryteam.com.
