Looking for something to do on Thursday evening? We’ve got the event for you. Ra Sushi, in Old Town Scottsdale, is hosting a “Mad Hatter’s Sake-Tea-Ni” 12th Anniversary Party from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Reminiscent of the Lewis Carroll novel and the upcoming movie “Alice In Wonderland,” the Sake-Tea-Ni party will feature wild and crazy hats, fun contests, flavored hookahs, dance music, special sushi rolls, drink specials and themed décor throughout. DJ Convince will spin a mix of rock and hip hop from 8 to 11 p.m, and guests are encouraged to enter the Crazy Hat Contest, and play Pin the Grin on the Cheshire Cat.
And, of course, Ra will be hosting some tempting sushi specials: Wonderland Roll ($6); Smokin’ Caterpillar Roll ($9); Cheshire Roll ($10). All drink specials will cost $6, including The White Rabbit; Mad Hatter’s Long Island Iced Tea; Blushing Alice; Queen of Hearts Punch; and Wonderland Mojito. And the best news of all is that $2 from the purchase of all food and drink specials during the Mad Hatter’s Sake-Tea-Ni party will go directly to Cardon Children’s Medical Center (formerly Banner Children’s Hospital at Banner Desert Medical Center). Pictures painted by children from Cardon Children’s Medical Center will be raffled off to benefit the organization. 480.990.9256, 3815 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale, www.rasushi.com.
