Even Gilbert and Chandler are getting in on the culinary festival action, and taking advantage of the nice fall weather. And I think it’s about time–Gilbert and Chandler are home to some of my favorite restaurants. (Hello Joe’s Farm Grill, Cork, Latitude Eight, Liberty Market, Flancer’s and many more!) Read on to see how East Valley foodies will be spending their time in the coming days.
First Annual Taste Chandler Culinary Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3 Plenty of eating and drinking is on the agenda at this festival at Historic Downtown Chandler on Oct. 3 from 6 to 11 p.m. More than 30 local restaurants and beverage purveyors will be present at the first-ever Taste Chandler Culinary Festival.

-d’vine Bistro and Wine Bar
-Crave Artisan Ice Cream

Tickets are $45 for general admittance and $75 for the VIP lounge, where guests will get to taste from exclusive restaurants and get to listen to tunes from local jazz bands. Sarah Vanell, Stan Sorenson and Vandals & Hancock Duo are slated to perform. Please note that this is a 21-and-older event and all ticket prices include beverages. A portion of all ticket proceeds will benefit the non-profit Downtown Chandler Community Foundation and Chandler Service Club, both of which are dedicated to community service programs and projects that enrich the Chandler community. Taste of SanTan on Friday, Oct. 9 Gilbert will be hosting Taste of SanTan next week on Oct. 9 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Guests can expect hors d’oeuvres prepared by local chefs, specialty drinks, live music, door prizes, a silent auction and a fabulous gift bag full of items all donated by local merchants.
