As if you needed another reason to get to Scottsdale Fashion Square and visit Fred’s at Barneys New York. Starting Tuesday, April 6, Fred’s will host a special wine dinner the first Tuesday of the month. The first event (which will start at 6:30 p.m.) will feature a four-course dinner with wine pairings from Stonestreet Winery. The winery is located just outside of Healdsburg, Calif., at the confluence of the Russian River, Alexander Valley and Dry Creek Valley in Northern Sonoma County. Dinner is $75 per person. Here’s what to expect at Fred’s first wine dinner:
First course
Seared sea scallops with roasted fennel and lobster crème
2007 Stonestreet, Upper Barn, Chardonnay
Second course
Goat cheese frito with pistachio coulis, frisée, smoked bacon and raspberry vinaigrette
2006 Stonestreet “Fifth Ridge” Cab/Merlot
Entree
Short rib with sautéed morels and ramps, truffled potato puree and natural jus
2006 Stonestreet, Cabernet Sauvignon
Dessert
Hazelnut semifreddo with mint chocolate sauce
Space for Fred’s wine dinner is limited; call 602.337.6111 or visit www.barneys.com to RSVP.
