Food Network’s main man, Bobby Flay (you know him from “Boy Meets Grill,” “Iron Chef: America,” “Throwdown! with Bobby Flay,” and “Food Network Star”), will be heading west–including a stop in Scottsdale–to promote his new (and 11th) cookbook, “Bobby Flay’s Bar Americain Cookbook: Celebrate America’s Great Flavors.” Bar Americain, an American brasserie spotlighting bold flavors, is one of Chef Flay’s impressive eateries (others include Mesa Grill, Bobby Flay Steak and an expanding roster of Bobby’s Burger Palaces) and has location in New York City and Connecticut.
On Sunday, Sept. 25, Chef Flay will be visiting Sur la Table at Kierland Commons in Scottsdale. At 11 a.m., Chef Flay will conduct a Q & A at Kierland Commons Center Plaza followed by a book signing at 11:30 a.m. at Sur la Table. “Bobby Flay’s Bar Americain Cookbook: Celebrate America’s Great Flavors” is available for purchase on Sept. 20. It features 110 delicious, bold recipes showcased in 110 full-color photos. Customers interested in attending a book signing are strongly encouraged to pre-purchase books by calling or visiting the participating Sur La Table stores. Customers who pre-purchase the book will receive a ticket, allowing access to the book signing line on the day of the event. (Pre-purchasing and receiving a ticket does not guarantee a signed book.) Sur la Table, 7122 E Greenway Parkway, Scottsdale. 480.998.0118, http://www.surlatable.com/.
