Burger Restaurants Open in the Valley

Who doesn’t love a good burger? The Valley will be home to two new casual burger joints this spring: Coal Burger, which is now open at Scottsdale Quarter, and The Habit Burger Grill, slated to open in Tempe this spring.
Coal Burger The folks behind Arizona-based Grimaldi’s Pizzeria are now putting their stamp on the burger world with a fast-casual burger concept. Coal Burger has opened at Scottsdale Quarter, which dishes out coal-fired patties among other delicious eats. The Coal Burgers are made of grass-fed beef on the diner’s choice of brioche, gluten-free or wheat buns and top-quality toppings. Tasty burgers aren’t the only thing that the Scottsdale Quarter restaurant has going for it, including a vegetable-and-rice vegetarian burger, crisp fresh salads and delicious sides like sweet potato fries and seasoned french fries. Plus, all of which are cooked in rice grain oil which is known for its higher amounts of antioxidants. To finish a meal at Coal Burger, the burgeria serves organic beer, biodynamic wine, thick organic gelato-based shakes, Boylan’s self-serve natural fountain sodas and organic adult floats. Apart from dishing up great eats, Coal Burger is also committed to helping the environment via eco-friendly design touches, like reclaimed wood in the artwork framing, recycled natural nickel patina, PVC free banquette seating and sustainable bamboo furniture. Plus, all of the napkins, paper towels and toilet paper are 100 percent post-recycled product out of Flagstaff. In addition to the Scottsdale Quarter location, Coal Burger is slated to open at Casa Paloma in Chandler in the future. http://www.coalburger.com/.
The Habit Burger Grill This spring, The Habit Burger Grill, a California-based restaurant, is slated to open in Tempe. (Second and third locations are slated to open in the summer in Central Phoenix and Chandler.) The Habit is known for its made-to-order “Charburgers,” as the patties get their flavor from char-grilling, and its use of quality ingredients and has more than 30 locations throughout Southern California. (The brand started more than 40 years ago, and the Tempe location will be the first The Habit location outside of Cali.) Menu items at The Habit will include sandwiches made from grilled, marinated chicken, tri-tip and line-caught Albacore tuna. The burger restaurant also offers  specialty salads tossed to order as well as not-for-dieters onion rings, sweet potato fries and a variety of hand-blended shakes and malts made from real ice cream. Little ones get into The Habit action as well with wallet-friendly kid’s menus. http://www.habitburger.com/.
