Sur la Table in Scottsdale has announced some new cooking courses this summer that will sharpen your culinary skills, allow you to have fun away from that scorching Arizona sun and even rekindle a little romance. Take a look at a few of Sur la Table’s summer offerings:
Martha Stewart’s American Favorites: Enjoy a tour of cooking Americana—in Martha Stewart’s new book, she explores varied culinary traditions across the country as only she can. With the book as our guide, we’ll take a look at the American table and learn to make regional favorites that are perfect for casual entertaining or a delicious spread for your family. Classes taught by Sur La Table Chefs. Classes scheduled for June 19 and 20, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. $69 per person. (Sorry, Martha won’t be in attendance.)
Date Night: Venice in Summer: Embrace the fresh cuisine of Italy’s floating city as we embark on a romantic culinary adventure inspired by the bounty of the season. Celebrate Venice’s sun-soaked summer with someone you love as we take you through a variety of traditional courses that make this city so famous for its food. We’ll focus on how to create a special meal for two with rustic dishes that take advantage of summertime fruits and vegetables. Classes scheduled for June 1, 9 and 16. Classes are $79 per person.
A few more to put on your calendar: Springtime Cake Pops, Ultimate Bacon Menu, Italy on the Grill and many more. For a complete listing of Sur la Table cooking courses, or to do a little shopping, visit www.surlatable.com.
