You might recall that another Valley burger joint recently opened in Chandler. And, now, the popular Scottsdale Quarter burger restaurant, Coal Burger, is opening a location in Chandler’s Casa Paloma shopping center. Coal Burger, which is the brainchild of Scottsdale-based Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, uses a similar coal-fired brick oven as Grimaldi’s to provide diners delish burgers in a fast-casual environment. Moral of the story? If you want a burger, get your tush to Chandler.
Once the Chandler location opens, burgeria guests can expect a selection of natural grass-fed beef and Niman Ranch Natural Beef, cooked in a brick oven over piping hot coals, to sear in the juicy flavor. Coal Burgers are then served on your choice of brioche, gluten-free or wheat buns and topped with a selection of flavorful cheeses, fresh produce and top-quality condiments. Coal Burger strives to use organic or naturally grown ingredients, when possible. The Chandler restaurant will have an expanded menu to offer healthy options, like a vegetable and rice vegetarian burger and crisp salads. Sides, like sweet potato fries and seasoned French fries, are all cooked in rice grain oil (notable for their higher amounts of antioxidants). Burger lovers can pair their meals with organic beer, biodynamic wine, thick organic gelato shakes, or Boylan’s self-serve natural fountain sodas.
Coal Burger also prides itself on being an eco-friendly dining establishment. Upon walking into the location, you will notice reclaimed wood in the artwork framing, recycled natural nickel patina, PVC-free banquette seating and sustainable bamboo furniture. Plus, all of Coal Burger’s napkins, paper towels and toilet paper on site are 100 percent post recycled product. http://www.coalburger.com/.
