If you’re celebrating “a very important date” this month, Tempe’s Honey Moon Sweets has just the dessert to celebrate with. “Alice in Wonderland”, starring Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska and Helena Bonham Carter, took a bite out of the box office this weekend, and Honey Moon Sweets Bakery & Dessert Bar is honoring this classic story with a whimsical line of “Wonderland”-inspired custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies and pastries. (What youngster wouldn’t love an Alice-inspired cake for her birthday party?) Ready-made boxes of cookie characters and icons from the movie are ready for pickup including The Red Queen, Cheshire Cat, The White Queen, Mad Hatter and others.
Customers can order custom “Wonderland” cakes, cupcakes or pastries with handmade decorations including “Eat Me/Drink Me” messages, fondant caterpillars, edible hats, tea party cups, and more. The “Wonderland”-themed treats will be available through the entire month of March. Orders can be made by calling 480.517.9520. 606 W. Southern Ave., Tempe. www.honeymoonsweets.com.
