The Ritz Carlton Phoenix is primed to host a deliciously decadent event with the Meyer Family Wine Dinner on Wednesday, January 14 from 6 to 8 p.m.in bistro 24. A four-course menu creatively prepared by the Ritz Carlton culinary team will be rolled out and paired with some of the finest Meyer Family wines. Guests will begin their experience with chilled grilled carrot soup featuring smoked scallop, honey cream, and apple salad paired with a 2012 Meyer Family Chardonnay. For the second course a Nola style BBQ rubbed shrimp will be served with cream cheese grits, pickled jalapeño tomato verge and accompanied by a 2012 rose of syrah.
A main course comprised of champagne, harissa braised pork belly with celery root, fennel, orange and fresno pepper salad, bacon, parsnip puree, crispy beets will be married with a 2011 Meyer family “Spitfire” cabernet sauvignon. For the grand finale milk chocolate semifredo with smoked goat cheese, blackberry foam, chocolate veil, violet meringue and a Meyer Family port.
The featured cocktail created to celebrate the Ritz Carlton partnership with Aston Martin and appropriately coined the “Aston Martini”, will be available for guests to sip on. The luxury auto outfit will join the Ritz Carlton from January 13th to January 19th for a special test drive event. Ritz guests will be able to experience the luxury and performance of Aston Martin’s latest models through a first-to-drive opportunity Wednesday, January 14th – Friday, January 16th, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 14th.
